新年快乐。。。。HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR

Hi friends.... long time din't view my blog & post something here, due to my spoilt pc!:-( Chinese New Year is around the corner.... busy making cookies ! Taking orders from friends too.... so it took me 2 weeks to finish the orders. Ha ha... tiring baking everyday but have alot of fun too :D Received feedbacks from friends, they & their family love those cookies so much @.@ At 1st really felt nervous cause some recipes here i never do it on my own before. This year making 4 types of cookies.

Another 1 here ... Hap Tou Sou.This was my 1st time making it! It really turned out great!!!! :D Yippie.. Taught my friends & they tried it too... they said it's nice & simple to make ! Do try it @.@ Here's the recipe for Hap Tou Sou
  • 600g flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 250g castor sugar
  • 1 tsp fine salt
  • 1 tsp Alkaline - 枧水
  • 300g peanut cooking oil ( might not need that much - until u can shape into a ball & won't break when u make a hole on it )
  1. Add all the ingredients together by hand accept oil.
  2. Gradually add in the oil while the other hand mix the dried ingredients into a soft dough.
  3. Shape into a small ball & make a hole in the middle of each cookies with a chop-stick.
  4. Brush some egg yolk on the coolies before baking.
  5. Bake at 150c for 20 mins or until golden brown.


3rd cookies.... CornFlakes Cookies .


  • 230g butter
  • 170g sugar ( has been reduced)
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 200g flour
  • 150g custard powder
  • 50g corn flour
  • 50g topioca flour
  • 100g plain cornflakes (crushed - not too fine)
  • cherries of deco
  1. Cream butter & sugar until light & fluffy. Beat in egg yolks & vanilla essence.
  2. Fold in sifted flour & all the flour ingredients.
  3. Use a spatula to fold in cornflakes.
  4. Spoon into a paper cups & top with cherries ( do not press the mixture while spooning, or else the texture will be hard )
  5. Bake at 170c for 20-25 mins or until golden brown.
